"The sea, once it casts its spell, holds one in its net of wonder forever"
Jacques Yves Cousteau.
How Mara Adventures came about
The sea cast its spell on me when I was very young. I learnt to scuba dive when I was twelve years old, and have been diving, swimming and working in it ever since. In 2017 I did my first official freediving qualification, and I was hooked. I really loved how freediving channelled the power of the breath and meant I had to be super present, focused and relaxed. Being both my biggest inspiration and teacher, I am forever humbled by the majesty of the ocean. I believe it is my life's purpose and mission to reconnect humans to our blue planet, by facilitating high quality and safe ocean interactions.
Having spent the last 12 years working as a scuba dive and free dive instructor and expedition leader globally, I felt it was finally time to embark on my own venture. Thus Mara Adventures was born.
